#061: Milky mint X Multicolored fine glitters

Orly Nail Defense
Manhattan Green Chai (4 coats)
essence better than gel nails top sealer

I think I must begin the post by saying loudly: BLOGGERS KNOW THE BETTER.
Because they’re users, blogger-produced colors (which is pretty much seen on US brands) are often very interesting, unique and of course cute; and today’s “blogger edition” color is also not an exception :)

Manhattan is German brand; actually I don’t know so much about this brand except its unique polish bottle shape. I was always wondering if it’s good to have or not, as it’s not popular as Catrice or essence…but when I saw the news release about blogger-LE collection with this polish, I simply thought I SHOULD have this.

So Green Chai is sheer milky soft mint green creme loaded with fine magenta/orange-red/pale yellow glitters and superfine green glitter. It needed 4 coats to build up the bottle color; it’s THAT sheer. It’s really pretty polish, no doubt about it, though it’s too sheer and too white in my taste…but I really respect and appreciate it’s challenge on polish designing, it’s so unique and I’m still very happy owning this! :D

    1. It's LE so I don't know if this will keep available until then, but me myself is already strongly hoping this color to be CORE line!!

  3. I got this one myself and even wore it already - which is rare... Hm, I'm not sure about it yet. I love the idea of blogger's creating a polish line, but i wish they had been nail polish bloggers xD I find this polish very interesting... but it is lacking something. Maybe because (for me) the mint green and the multicolor glitter aren't matching 100%... I really like your pictures though. They make this polish look really pretty :)

Actually that's one point I've been a bit stuck too, at least fashion/mode is OK but...FOOD? :D
Anyway I'm much hoping that Manhattan can increase such an idea, and someday they can collaborate with polish bloggers...there's many FANTASTIC german nail bloggers!!

  4. Well bloggers should know better. Besides Green Chai and Soho I was very disappointed with the collection because it´s created by bloggers. The other colours are fairly uncreative and could easily be found in other brands´ permanent lines.
As Kayono stated: It should have been nail-bloggers like you who should be given the chance to do a line like that.
Fashion bloggers lack the overview over the polishes that are already there. It´s such a wasted opportunity. D:

    1. I started like that mainly because of this unique Green Chai; but I agree that most of shades are not that interesting. Especially...why they put cremes? There's THOUSANDS of cremes in the world, it's no need at all to put as LEs.
Well but I think at least idea is good; I hope they'll continue to work with "amateurs" like this, and next time they'll invite the German polish bloggers :)

  5. I went from never having seen this to seeing this several times today - and I love it. It reminds me of the cookie crumbles you'd get at the bottom of store-bought cookies in a polish <3

    1. For me this looked like stone/marble floor :D
Anyway it's a bit pity that it's pretty HTF already...I hope they'll expand the display/availability a bit more!

    1. I think glitters are much more finer than Luduranas (according to swatch pics)...but this one is pretty unique and fun shade too :)
Hoping to be core or at least stock will be expanded!
