Here comes 27th day of 31 Day Challenge, and 7th inspiration, Nails inspired by an Artwork!

Again let’s start with my inspiration for today’s mani. I took the inspiration from this piece of artwork… one of most well-known Japanese artist, Yayoi Kusama.
I’m not a very strong fan of her artwork, but this pumpkin was an exception; when I’ve seen this I simply thought as “Oh this can be great pattern to use for nail design!”, so I did :D

It’s a dotticure, but it’s not made only by dotting tools; Biggest dots are stamped with Q-tips, tiniest one is applied with toothpick. I’m happy to find these are helpful to put the dots which of out of the dotting tool size! I was pretty happy with the result, but it wasn’t a case for my hub…this one turned out as his most hated mani EVER…yep, he really hates polka dots :P

  1. Whoa, crazy pumpkin! =O
You replicated the pattern perfectly! =)

    1. Thank you Rochelle!!
Yeah artwork itself is already kinda crazy... :P

  2. That's brilliant! My husband hates any wild nail art too, he likes blue polish and that's about it?! Haha you did a great job xx

    1. Haha my hub normally likes to see my nail arts BUT this one is TOTAL EXCEPTION :D He even runs away when he notices this photo on the screen!
      Anyway thank you Sharon <3

  3. Love this! What a coincidence that I recently purchased Jade Mystic Gold...holo dots will be had soon! :)

    1. Thank you Cathy!
If you want to do holo dots with Mystic Gold it's better to put opaque metallic polish underneath...Jade's holo is kinda jelly-ish so they're often pretty sheer ;)
