番外編：Royal Mail（イギリス郵便）御乱心

えーご存知の方もいらっしゃるかも知れませんが、現在進行形でイギリス郵便が大変なことになっています。事が露見したのは数日前、とあるブログにとある記事がpostされた事に端を発します。

最近ネット上を賑わせているこんな写真、見たことありませんか？

まさにこの手紙が昨日我が家に来まして……イギリス郵便いわく、私が友達宛に送ったNails INCのポリを　捨　て　た　とのことです。（中略）今イギリス郵便は航空法に則り　全　て　の　国際郵便物をX線でチェックしているのだとか！（後略）

これが発端になり「どうもイギリス郵便はポリの国際発送を全面禁止するらしい」という話が出まして。その後しばらく本当のところどうなのか、ということで大騒ぎになっていたのですが、ついにイギリスのブランドのひとつで海外発送を多くやっているa-Englandが正式に「イギリス郵便がポリの国際発送を取り扱ってくれなくなった」と表明します（以下原文と超訳文。だいぶ意訳してあるのはご勘弁をば）。

「1月25日以降発送が遅れています、というのもセールでとてもたくさんの注文を頂いたと同時に、イギリス郵便がポリッシュ類の国際発送を一切やめたことが判明したからです。現在どうにか他の手立てを取れないか検討中です」

「何故今になって急にイギリス郵便の方針が判明したかというと、郵便局窓口の人々が我々にイギリス郵便の方針の変更を知らせ忘れていたから（！！）です。その後聞いたところイギリス郵便がポリッシュ類の発送をやめ、貨物を端から廃棄し始めたのは遅くとも1月14日以降であることが解っています。今回はお客様からのお知らせで知ることが出来ましたが、出来ればもっと早く知りたかった……！」

……ということで化粧品を扱っているメーカーさんにとっても青天の霹靂だった様子。イギリスには他にもIllamasquaやBarry M、もちろんたくさんの化粧品小売業者もあって、でもそういったところからも全く事前情報が出ていなかったことから混乱の大きさが伺えるというものです。
でもじゃあ荷物今どーなってんの！？ちゃんと届くの！？あるいはキャンセルとかできないのー！？という方、a-Englandに関してのみですが朗報があります。

「アメリカのLlarowe（ポリッシュ専門小売業者さん）を経由することでお届けできるようにしました！今ある注文分はまずアメリカのLlaroweに輸送されて（Royal Mailとは異なる業者です）そこから皆様へお届けという形になります。時間はかかりますが確実にお届けできると思います！」

……ということで今オーダーしてある方、ご安心下さい荷物はきっと届きます！時間はかかるかもしれませんが届きます、まずは諦めないで下さい！ただ今後どうなるかが全く不明な以上、a-Englandに直接注文することはもう出来ないのかなと思いつつ(´・ω・`)どうにか代替業者を探すとはいってらっしゃるものの、それで値上がってしまったら元も子もないわけで……(´・ω・`)

そんなこんなで現在イギリス郵便は大混乱中です。イギリスからのポリの注文、あるいは（いないとは思いますが）イギリスへのポリの発送はしばらく控えた方が良さそうです。大体イギリス国内でのポリ輸送にしても荷物1つにつき上限4本までって馬鹿かと阿呆かと！！地上輸送すればいいじゃねーかRoyal Mailのウェブサイト見てもやってるっていってるんだしさー！！……と思いきや地上輸送は廃止しましたという物凄いコメントがRoyal Mailから成された件。

まったく　いみが　わからないよ！！ｳﾜｧｧｧｧｧｧヽ(`Д´)ﾉｧｧｧｧｧｧﾝ!

……えー、ちなみに昨日我が家にはイギリスからポリが届いたわけですが。
………そしてこれ、1月20日に注文して21日に発送＝国際郵便でのポリ貨物の廃棄始まってから発送されてたわけですが。
…………さらにこれ、Royal Mailで我が家に届けられたわけですが…………

と、ともあれ日本の皆様方としてはとりあえずしばらくご注意頂きたく。私自身イギリス郵便の動向を追いかけた上で、また動きがあれば随時ブログ記事にして行けたらなあと思っています(｀・ω・´)

#086: Gray-beige with yummy shimmer; essence get arty

...Only I wish if creme base is a liiiiiiiiiiiittle bit more smooth or sheer.
Maybe because it has been released with same time as Snow Jam LE which carry bold and cool shades, essence’s Vintage District LE wasn’t focused so much…but I’d like to put the light on for this particular shade from it! Others wasn’t so fun but get arty was complete exception, it grabbed my heart when I’ve seen first time at the shop because of…

...THIS. Kinda sort of unicorn pee shimmer. Doesn’t this look yummy? I’m a sucker of nude shade WITH spice (like holo, multichrome shimmer, glitter or whatever) so there’s no choice to not-to-buy this shade.

So it’s elegant gray-beige creme with hint of multichrome shimmer. It looked so beautiful in the bottle, …but unfortunately it didn’t appear so strong on the nail. As I’ve wrote at first, I simply wish if creme base of this was bit more thin; it’s pretty thick and creamy that it totally cover up those beautiful shimmer. Still beautiful shade, but I just feel a bit sad :(

Actually mixture of creme-glitter or creme-shimmer by essence pretty often turn too thick. Formula itself was also thick and not so easy; maybe I can try to dilute it next time. But still pretty and unique shade, isn’t it? How do you think about this? :D

しつこいようですがヌード系は苦手でも玉虫だったり変更シマーだったりが入っている捻りの効いたヌード系は　大　好　物　☆　でして。加えてグレージュ系のポリってそーいや持ってなかったなあ、というのもあってほぼ衝動買いに近い形で買ってしまったのが今回のget artyです。でもねえ、これボトルカラーは本当に美しいんですが、実際塗るとこってりしたクリームベースにせっかくの偏光シマーが埋まってしまってですね……(´・ω・`)もうちょっと薄めのテクスチャにできなかったのかessence。前にもクリームベースにフレークラメってやって、その時もこってりめのテクスチャにしたせいでラメが埋まりまくって変な感じになったのを思い出しました。
もしかしたらクリアポリとかで割ったらもう少し違った感じになるのかなー。いろいろ試したいところです。

Because it’s a season for us to say “BYE” to some essence products…but there’s NOT many info what’s going to be gone, I’ve decided to upload quick post about it! #085: MY FAV GREEN EVER; a-england Dragon

I’d like to begin this post shouting out loud that a-england Dragon is the BEST GREEN POLISH EVER. At least for me. Very first application hit my heart, after all I could drool on my painted nails, my heart was beating, lost all my words…except “WOW”. I haven’t been like that EVER; this is how I fell in love with this amazing shade.

So…how I call this. Crystal of pure perfection or what. Deep moss green holo is something we never can find anywhere else. With such a lovely smooth well-pigmented formula, it’s kinda dream-comes-true shade. I’ve seen many people describing this as “scattering holo”, but if I go very close…I could notice linear holo effect too, which is giving super lovely effect to this shade.

Actually…I didn’t expect that I’ll fall in love such instantly and deeply. Even by tons of amazing swatchs around, I simply put into my wishlist and that’s it. Now I want to say so sorry to Adina, the creator/designer of a-england, that I didn’t believe this shade is such a stunner. If you love green and still don’t have this shade, YOU MUST GRAB THIS!!

Of course I love the shade itself, but after I’ve enjoyed the shade I thought it’ll be cool if I’ll add small spice to this…not too strong but something cool…and here it is! I think black is pretty friendly color to stamp on a-england Dragon; now how do you think? ;)

ああもう大好きだ結婚してくれ！＜違
元より緑ポリは好物なのですが、そして勿論玉虫も大好物なのですが、にも関わらず今の時点まで買っていなかったのは一重にセール待ちだったｗのとまぁそこまで死ぬほど欲しい感じでもねーし？と思ってたからです。とはいえ一応買いたいリストには突っ込んでたのですよ。でも今すぐ即刻欲しい！というような物では無かった。

なのでセール来るまで放置→来た→買う、という一連の流れを経て届いたのが一昨日です。それでもボトルカラー見ただけの時点では「わーやっぱり噂通りキレイだわー」程度だったのですが昨日実際に塗ってみて

堕　ち　ま　し　た

艶のあるこっくりとした濃い抹茶グリーンに光の当たり方によって多彩な輝きを見せる玉虫粒子、そしてうっすらとでもしっかり輝く虹色の帯！あまりの美しさにベタ塗りだけなのにも関わらず塗ってる最中からうっとり幸せな気分でいっぱいでした。こんなのはじめて（ﾎﾟｯ　＜誰

濃い色ですがむしろ派手さは無くとてもシックにまとまる素敵カラーです。日本人には絶対に合う色！下手なスキンカラーよりずっと上品に決まる感じですし、例えば黒と合わせてVフレンチとかしたらそれだけで和風になりそうな気がします。いうか絶対きものに合うと思う。近々やりたいところです（宣言）

さて濃い色＝黒との相性が非常にいい、ということでちまっとスタンプしてみました。うむ、黒面積が極力小さいようなパターンを選ぶとよろしいですな。ちなみにこのDragon、1回塗っただけでもばっきり発色するくらい濃く作られているカラーなのでスタンプに使うのにもいい色だと思われ。海外ブロガーさんの作品の中にはコレを使ったほんっとーにカッコイイスタンプ作品が多数見受けられるので、何れ真似っこしたいなーと思っております(｀・ω・´)

Review: Born Pretty Store Mini Round Glitter

As most of you already know…Born Pretty Store is Hong Kong-based nail supply shop with good deal & free shipping world wide. They kindly asked me if I can write the review for one of their products, and what I’ve chosen is…

I believe this is pretty new in their shop because before when I went for shopping personally I couldn’t find this at all. I was really wondering WHY round glitter was not available (especially because it’s SUPER common in Japan), but…finally it’s here!

So as you see, it’s a 12-color glitter set. This retails for $7.60 with FREE INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING (and also you can get 10% off for entire order by using coupon code: CDL91). I don’t know exact amount for each glitters, but it was completely filling up the 3cm x 2cm round case = about 14ml or 0.5fluid oz.

Size was not indicated in website but it’s around 1.2mm as above and I suspect that the size is made by inch-scale. Anyway it’s pretty small and that means it’s really useful for nail art/decoration, so OF COURSE I did…

Base is my previous mani with Butter London All Hail the Queen, covered with one thin coat of clear polish (I used one from P2) and applied black glitter while it’s still tacky. Toothpick was perfect tool to pickup the glitters with a help of tiny amount of clear polish as well.

It was nothing difficult or complicated to apply these small glitters! Of course it takes a time but making a dotted pattern with glitters is nothing but fun. Also because all the glitter has perfectly exact size & shape, I think it’s nice solution for dotticure :)

Further, this glitter seems to be solvent resistant; At least my topcoat NEVER pulled the color from glitter. I’ve even tried to soak glitters with clear polishes to see if they’re at least topcoat resistant or not, and nothing happened to glitters.

Please note that my topcoat is my everytime essence’s better than gel nail top sealer; which pulls colors pretty often for example when I go for stamping or tape mani. Above was 5 min after I’ve mixed glitters and topcoat, but as you see…no change at all.

Well overall, I like this glitter :) It’s really thin and this def helps to create flat smooth crisp dot designed mani. BUT I must say there’s only ONE point I don’t like…or I’d like to hope, just in my taste…

...they’re iridescent glitters. I think normal metallic color without such an effect is much useful and I really wished if they had one without iridescent effect, and actually not. OK, I won’t say it’s bullshit, but I simply hope if there’s same kind of glitter set WITHOUT iridescent effect just because I feel it’s much useful.

But anyway, I’m pretty happy with this glitter palette! If you love to do nail art yourself, this one is def must-have to expand the idea/design. Although I hope for the wider range of color, 12-color set of nice quality glitter in $7.60…YES PLEASE :D

So…If you’re willing to get round glitter for your nail art, first go to Born Pretty Store!! They also have the round glitter with bigger size, I’m thinking if I’d get them or not…pretty seriously :D

#084: Perfect office holo - Butter London All Hail the Queen

Since I’ve known this shade, it was looooooooooooooooong time lemming for me. Each time when I go to local Douglas, each time I went to its display, looking and watching and handling this specific shade with *le sigh*…I’m sure I was one of most weird customer for them. But after a while, finally, I couldn’t stand without this polish and…it’s here with me!

I was so happy and so satisfied; All Hail the Queen made me feeling like myself. BUT I was maybe too satisfied, that I was totally OK just looking and handling the bottle WITHOUT trying it on my nail!! D: OMG what a shame, I had to try it much before, but well…better late than nothing, right?

So here it is, Butter London All Hail the Queen. I’M SO IN LOVE. Holo is subtle but very different from others. It’s kinda scattering holo, but holo particle is ultra fine to provide very delicate and beautiful sparkles. Actually it was super hard to capture, it’s 1000 times sparkly and beautiful IRL than present photos! :(

Formula was again pretty easy and smooth, a bit sheer than expected, but is def most easy handling polish in my stash :) I think this is one of must-have office polish for asian people! Oh Butter London, WHY DON’T YOU COME TO JAPAN!? I’M SURE EVERYBODY WILL LOVE YOU!!…Well I live Germany, so I’m pretty close to them though :P

日本に入っていないButter London、ではありますがこのベージュ玉虫ことAll Hail the Queenは知名度高いようですな。ヌーディなベージュに虹色に輝く繊細なラメ。ラメの感じがちょっと他のブランドとは違っていてとても美しい。私も大好きです。というか物凄ーく悩みに悩み考えに考えた末買った大事な1本です。故に手に入ったことで大満足してしまい今の今まで使っていなかったという。罰当たりにも程がありませんか自分。

とはいえ今回やっと、やーっと！塗れたので満足です。ボトルで見てもきれいでしたが実際塗ってみるとその上品な玉虫加減に惚れ直します。何でもっと早く塗らなかったし！みたいな。でも私の職場は手先の邪魔にさえならなければ基本何でもOK、黒でも緑でも青でもラメでもばっちこーい！な職場なので何塗っても大丈夫＝なかなか手が出なかったのでした。いや今となれば何でやねんとしかいえないのですが。色味としては確かに地味めなのでアートのベースとしても良さそうです。ホロとの相性なんかいいんじゃないかなー！

#083: Still playing with SNC holo; using as holo topcoat?

As I mentioned in last swatching post, while swatching SNC’s so-called “silver holo” silvershape, I rather felt that as not the silver holo but much “colorless” holo. It was pretty sheer and only one coat of it gave me the beautiful holo effect with my nailbed’s color & free-edge left underneath;

So that’s why I thought that this can be used as holo topcoat, and as you could see in the first pic…I think I can say I’ve succeeded! :) I had to apply super thin coat that on the color everything went silver very easily. I applied silvershape itself but probably dilution of itself would make application much easier…

...as you can see uneven application or undesired “silver” looking on close-up of dark pink & blue. But of course how holo particle looks depends on base color, for example…

...at least I think holo effect over mint green & black was OK :D
I’m very sure I’ll grab another bottle of silvershape pretty soon and dilute it with clear polish for easy control of holos! I’m pretty excited that now I can have my own holo topcoat…which I couldn’t get until now due to lack of suspension base :/

玉虫トップコートってね、夢だったんですよ＜いきなり何ですか
いやだってね、上からさっとひと塗りしたら何でも玉虫化って素敵じゃないですか！＜何が
……そんなことが出来る玉虫トップは以前China GlazeからOMGコレの一部として出ていたのですが……実はもう少しのところで買い逃しましてorz それ以来玉虫トップには妙なアコガレみたいなもんがあったのです。Spectraflair（玉虫ピグメント）を粒径違いで3種類買うとかいう阿呆すぐることをしたのもそのせいです。きちんとピグメントを拡散できるベースが入手できない時点で微妙に意味無いのですがorz
（豆知識：透明ポリに顔料やラメをぶち込んでも拡散しません＝使うたびに混ぜないといけない激烈めんどくさいシロモノが出来ます）

さてそんな中手に入ったのがSilvershapeですよ。これ銀玉虫と銘打っていますが実際塗ると銀というよりは「無色玉虫」な感じの仕上がりになります。ひと塗りだけだとばっちりフリーエッジも出ればネイルベッドの色も出る。っつーことはトップコート代わりに出来るだろう！できるに違いない！ということでいろんな色（全部シマー無しのクリームカラー）を塗った上で上からSilvershapeをひと塗りしてどうなるのかを見てみたのが今回のネイルです。

あのね正直上手く行った！と思う！色によっては元のピグメント色である白銀色がどうしても目立ってしまいますが（↑ピンクと青）、それでも下の色を殺さずに玉虫エフェクトを加えるという目論見は上手く行ったと思います！元のSilvershape自体がやっぱりトップコートとしてはピグメントぎっしりなので（あくまでもポリなので当たり前）クリアポリかトップコートで割ったらちょうどいいくらいになるんじゃ、と思っています。トップコート実験用にSilvershapeもう1本オーダーしたので到着次第遊んでみる予定！(｀・ω・´)
……しかしどんだけ玉虫好きなの自分、って感じですがｗｗｗ
